Spoonbill and Avocet

A Spoonbill was new in today and I was lucky enough to get some great views of it this morning on Black Hole Marsh. Later at Seaton Marshes my luck continued when the Avocet appeared right in front of the hide. It didn't stay long before it was seen off by an aggressive Curlew. Cue, far too many photos!

No56 Spoonbill

A few fishing shots ...

And a few posing shots...

Also while at Black Hole Marsh thought I might as well add...
No 57 Canada Goose

Rather muddy Avocet on its way for a bath...

 That's better...

...Nice and clean

Avocet with No 58 Curlew...but not for long!

Avocet pretends to be a Wigeon but the Curlew wasn't fooled for a minute and chased it off back onto the estuary.
