Wild Tulips

I somehow managed to forget to post images of these beautiful Wild Tulips that I took back in early April. Wild Tulip is not a native flower but has been found naturalised for hundreds of years after being introduced in the late 16th century it was recorded from the wild by 1790. It is a scarce plant only occurring in a few scattered locations in the UK. These were in Wiltshire at a site where they have grown for over fifty years.
